In a poll we did during the Unfiltered Christianity launch, 66.7% of the people who took part in the poll believed that their faith was ingenuine. 84.6% of those who voted believed that church people were fake for the most part with a whoping 88% of people expressing their desire for a space in which they could fully express themselves in an unfiltered way.
It was such a successful launch.
On the 21st of July Unfiltered Christianity was officially launched at Metro Mission Church in Sandton, Johannesburg which is in South Africa.
The people who attended were more than expected and a welcomed suprise.
The launch was divided into six sessions which will now be summarized below.
1: Music by Luyanda and Dimakatso
Our M.C, Wendy Lambert, officiated all the proceedings starting with a musical item which was perfomed by Luyanda and Dimakatso. Luyanda Sibanda sang his new single, “Thank You”, and was backed up by the also very talented Dimakatso Mathekga.
2: Unfiltered Biblically by Errol Nembhard
Errol Nembhard, or as we like to call him, Elder Errol, then took the stage and gave us a timely word of what it means to live an unfiltered life biblically. He highlighted how many of us fall victim to the traditional religion which in many aspects lacks the spiritual nature that characterizes true Christianity. We were encouraged to live transprarent lives, to be who we are and to trust God with the process of making us the people He wants us to be.
3: Introduction to Unfiltered Christianity
Alroy Ndhlovu, who founded Unfiltred Christianity, then took a few moments to talk about the vision he had for the platform. He took us back to where it all began and led us right into the future he hoped for the platform.
4: Live Polls
Facilitated by Alroy Ndhlovu, the live polls allowed the audience to answer and receive questions live. Just over twenty questions were asked and the whole audience responded anonymously.
The questions asked were so relevant and the answers will help us know what content to produce in the future. A lot was revealed like how some of us still smoke, drink or who find the issue of only having sex when married a difficult one to grasp.
We were really humbled by the honest answers. This is the first step to get us to be the people we ought to be.
5: Unfiltered Sessions
The Unfiltered Sessions were facilitated by Tinashe Dube. In this segment a chair was set up in front of the crowd and beside the chair was a container with numbers. A volunteer would then come up, pick a number and then call it out. A question would then be beamed up on the screens. The volunteer would then be required to answer the question honestly.
This was the most enjoyed session it seems because when we were done people asked if we could extend its time.
We got a lot of feedback. The hottest topic on debate there was that of tithe.
6: Music by Mandisa
Mandisa then wrapped up the program with two musical peices. It was so lovely.
When all was said and done, our M.C closed the program and that was that.
It was such a lovely experience. It showed us how big Unfiltered Christianity could be as a platform and we can only pray that God does with it accordind to His marvelous will.
